In 2006, WSR bestowed its Wall Street Achiever award to 106 Chinese professionals in Wall Street, representing more than 21 national and global corporations.The award recognizes the outstanding contributions of Chinese-Americans in the financial corporate community.
The WSR also hosts its annual Wall Street Achiever gala for outstanding Chinese-Americans who have achieved prominence in their respective fields and active in Asian-American or Greater China issues.

International business - particularly in the global capital market industries - depends on good relationships. I find attending the WSR 2006 Gala a very effective way of making and maintaining key relationships. This is not just a matter of rubbing shoulders with celebrities. Business life if a bit too hectic to devote short period of time just to that pleasure. But the Gala meeting fully justifies the space in my diary.
As well as learning a great deal from the exchange of ideas, I expect to have around 10 one-to-one meetings with key contacts. And this is not just with business people, but also often with old friends. The atmosphere is generally very constructive and these talkings are very valuable for developing new trading ideas. To sum up, for me, Gala/Monthly event is key for building the right relationships.
