In its third full year, the Young Business Leaders made an immediate impact on a number of our programs as well as expanding its community of dynamic and inspiring college students.
WSR provides substantive learning experiences to undergraduate and graduate students interested in enhancing their knowledge of the financial industry and gaining practical, real-world experience working in a leading think tank. Each year, hundreds of applicants apply to participate in the Young Business Leaders program, although only two spots are available. WSR’s popular mentoring program for young professionals, our members share valuable career and life lessons in an intimate, roundtable setting and field questions from apprentices.
Although only held twice a year, hundreds of Chinese graduate students have participated in WSR mentoring programs. Here, WSR members share their valuable career and life lessons in an intimate, roundtable setting, allowing the students they are mentoring to ask questions in an open forum for discussion.
Based on their interests, mentors are matched with apprentices at a ratio of one mentor for every two students. Members serve as role models not only for achieving success in their respective fields, but also for being actively involved in public service and philanthropy. To date, the Wall Street Ren have mentored over 200 students and young professionals.
